Robotic Tracemaking with Kuka Robot

Women/Life/Freedom

For this project, we developed a robotic process for creating traces on fabric surfaces. Our inspiration came from the performance of blowing air onto fabric surfaces using an air gun. We conducted experiments using various types of fabrics, considering factors such as stretch, looseness, and lighting conditions. To facilitate the process, we created a surface using fabric, which allowed us to track the movements of a robotic arm and the attached air gun. To achieve this, we constructed three wooden frames and carefully stretched the fabric across them. Through manipulation of the fabric surface, we were able to create distinct waves that formed our desired trace pattern.
